US State Public Boat Launch & Fishing Access Aggregator

Aggregates public boat launch ramps and fishing access sites from state DNR and wildlife agency open-data layers (ArcGIS REST FeatureServer) into one geocoded national dataset.

Returns ramp attributes, amenities, fees, ADA accessibility, parking capacity, and water body for each site. Currently covers Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina — with more states added as official open-data layers are verified.

Notes

  • Data is sourced from official state GIS open-data layers — no authentication required.
  • ArcGIS endpoints are key-free public REST services with resultOffset pagination.
  • Field availability varies by state (some agencies publish more detail than others).
  • Coordinates are in WGS84 decimal degrees where published by the agency.
  • Covers state access points only — federal sites (USACE, USFS, NPS) are served by separate recreation.gov / RIDB datasets.
